Avec la réalisation de 17 albums et plus de 900 concerts, Martin Nathan multiplie depuis 25 ans les propositions artistiques les plus aventureuses et diverses sous le nom de Brain Damage. Considéré comme l’un des créateurs de la scène dub en France à la fin des années 90, il se présente rapidement comme une influence majeure pour toute une génération de musiciens. N’étant pas du genre à se reposer sur les modèles qu’il a lui-même fondés, il se renouvelle sans cesse au gré de ses multiples projets, enchaînant notamment des collaborations toujours plus prestigieuses avec des pointures comme High Tone (fr), Vibronics (uk), Horace Andy (Ja), Harrison Stafford (usa), Big Youth (Ja), Groundation (usa), Mad Professor (uk) ou plus récemment la japonaise Emiko Ota. Parallèlement à ses multiples productions, ses fameuses prestations scéniques explosives lui confèrent une solide réputation internationale, et il est plus que rare de voir un artiste passer allègrement le cap des 25 ans de carrière avec tant de vitalité et une créativité intacte.

With more than 17 albums and 900+ concerts behind him already, Martin Nathan ventures for more than 20 years now, into many artistic and stylistic experiments, under the name of Brain Damage. Acclaimed as one of the founders of the French dub scene in the late 1990s, he soon appears as a major influence for a whole generation of musicians. But the artist is definitely not among those who forever rest on the models he founded, and he constantly reinvents himself, as his myriad projects flow, especially multiplying always more prestigious collaborations with figures like High Tone (FR), Vibronics (UK), Horace Andy (JAM), Harrison Stafford (USA), Big Youth (JAM), Groundation (USA), Mad Professor (UK) more recently Japanese artist Emiko Ota. Along with his many productions, it is also with his truly live and explosive performances, that Martin Nathan has grown a solid reputation throughout the international scene, and it is exceptionally rare to see an artist leaping blithely through his 25th career anniversary, with so much vitality and creativity.
